What a beautiful day!!  The sun was shining and the dogs were happy to be alive and at the park with their buddies.

The usual group of doggies came to the park this morning:  Whistler, Wilbur, Everest, Copper R (aka Duck Dog), Ryder, Bella, Ellie, Marty and Ziggy.

Bella and Ellie started off the walk by throwing their collective weight around and teasing a dog from Jenni's pack (different from Jennifer's pack).  I felt bad for the sucky little guy until he came running back to the two of them and flopped on his back right in front of them.  Some guys really like a strong gal!

We headed to the river to cool off and hit all the "hot" spots.  When we got to the third river spot the dogs found a decaying puddle of something and decided that it was time to really get down and have some fun.  And the rolling, sniffing and even consuming of the decomposing puddle was on.  Try to get 20 dogs away from a smelly mess while gagging.  Not an easy feat.  Almost all the dogs had to be taken to the river for a wash off before we could herd them out of the area.  All while I tried to keep my breaky were it belongs.  YUCK!!

The afternoon group was my typical Tylenol Thursday group.  Wild, crazy and so excited.  Rover, R2 and Josie raced the bike riders down the path (from inside the park).  Nina, Shea, Owen and Sam wanted to play ball and Bo decided to go down the river trying to get a ball.  I wasn't worried about Bo as he is such a smart guy and great swimmer and mainly because the water is so shallow he was running most of the way.  But the do-gooders worried about him and went in the water to "rescue" him.  He wasn't happy to be dragged back to the pack without the goodies he was trying to get.
