Not So Crazy Tuesday

The day started with a VERY brisk wind and a pack of relatively calm dogs.  Wait.  What?  Yes, calm dogs.  Whistler, Wilbur, Everest, Ryder, Bruin, Marty, Ellie, Aspen and Erckle were all good dogs.

Aspen is the newest member of our pack.  She is a six month old yellow lab and belongs to a family friend, Laura.  Laura was off today so she came for the walk too.  It is a good thing that Aspen is so cute because she is a wild and adventurous pup.

Since Ellie did not have her gal pal Bella with her today (Bella is at the spa with her brother Joey for two weeks) she maintained a low profile and basically left Wilbur and Marty alone.  Marty, not really needing a wing man against the girls chose to throw his five pounds around and barked at all the dogs.  Since Wilbur and Aspen are friends out of school they played together.  It was more fun for Wilbur when Aspen was the same size as he is.  Now it is more challenging and he has to use his smarts to outwit the up and coming Amazon.  The big guys were mellow and enjoyed exercise and fresh air.

The Tuesday afternoon group usually calls for a couple Tylenol after the walk (for me of course) because they are so loud and rambunctious.  Today, however, they were relatively calm and organized.  Frank, Rover, CPC Cheetos, Owen, Nina, Shea, Remy, Josie, R2 and Wilson all got along nicely and raced each other around the park.  Due to the volatile combinations in today's group a ball was out of the question and the dogs accepted it with good grace.

All in all a good day for dogs!
