Holy cow!  Winter has hit the last couple of days.  The dogs don't seem fazed by it yet but get the sweaters ready.

The morning group was a bit unwieldy as I had to pick up some of Jen's dogs (she wasn't feeling well).  All the dogs got along really well and people were actually surprised at how well they behaved.  Rez, Nicky and Guiness (collectively known as the "Pinkney kids") stuck to themselves.  Rez is just visiting and is so happy to get out and run like crazy.  She could be found leading the pack.  Marty was ecstatic that Wilbur was with the morning group.  They love each other and have such a good time wrestling and running and rolling over each other.  Ziggy, Copper and Everest made up their own lab trio and proceeded to try and take down and/or chase other dogs.  Good times!  Even Riley stuck close to the pack (he usually likes to strike out on his own.)  On the way back to the truck we detoured through the tall grass and that seemed to excited the little guys.  Ryder came to life and was tearing around like a maniac.  It was cute to see him act like that as he usually is so introverted.

The afternoon group went to Southland.  We had Bo along for the second time this week.  Welcome Bo.  He is new to our group and comes to us from Acara's group.  He is a seven year old yellow lab and goofy and sweet as they come.  He likes to pick up very large hunks of wood, balls or anything else he can wrap his maw around and carry it around for the entire walk.  Every once in a while he has to stop, drop his goodies and take a breath.  I was surprised that he was carrying a piece of wood that was about 20 pounds.  He is strong.

I took the guys down to the river for a drink to get the walk started.  Everyone had a drink except for his highness Cheetos.  Cheetos does not "ingest" river water I was told.  Auzzie is too tough to let surgery slow him down and he and Wilbur kept up the pace for the entire 75 minutes.  Owen and Sammy had a barking contest.  I think that Owen is louder but Sammy has stamina.

All in all a very good day.
