Brrrr!  What a cold morning.  The snow seemed to stop the wind but I am not sure which is worse in the long run.

The morning group was a small quiet gang consisting of Everest, Copper, Riley, Rover, Ryder, Whistler and Bruin.  All mature and happy souls once they got out of the truck.  There was a gaggle of people and dogs right by the gate and I did not want to let the dogs en mass and scare the heck out of the other dogs and people.  Never a good start on a Monday morning.  Poor little Ryder was so cold even with a sweater on.  I felt bad for him and tried to keep him moving quickly to keep warm.  Riley did not seem to be bothered by the cold wind and found lots of other little dogs to visit and romp with.  Copper was too cute when he spied a woman with furry balls hanging from her boots.  He kept trying to catch them.  She did not seem to know what he was doing but once she realized she thought it was cute too.  (Don't tell his "dad" but he was very cat-like in his actions.)

Whistler and Rover wrestled and chased each other which is rare as Whistler usually does not engage with her subjects.  It is nice to see she still has some pup left in her.

The afternoon group was bigger and rowdier as always.   Auzzie did not make it today as he is recovering from his surgery and doing very well I am told.  He should be back tomorrow for the fun and frenzy.  We walked with Jen's group until one of her senior dogs wandered off and she had to go find the old girl.  Bailey was thinking she was a youngster too.  She was getting in on the wrestling with the young boys (from Jen's group) and was going to take the winner.  Nina and Shea were up to their usual tricks - staying close but going just far enough to explore some really good stinky stuff.  Mitch and his girlfriend Olivia (also from Jen's group) played together much to Wilbur's dismay.  He wants to be the centre of Auzzie and Mitch's attention when they are together.

Please leave jackets, towels and crates within easy reach of the door as I usually don't have enough time to take my boots off at each house.  Thanks!
