Happy New Year

I am hoping I can keep up with all the fun we are having at the park.  It was such a beautiful day for dogs - scary icy - but still a beautiful day.

Copper Duck Dog, Bruin, Everest, Rover, Ryder, Whistler, Wilbur, Josie and R2 made the trip to Southland this morning.  We met up with Wilson and his gramma Lindsay and his "cousin" Lola.  Lola is a little Staffordshire terrier and very playful.

Lola and R2 are about the same age and they had a lot of fun chasing and wrestling.  It sounded like a vicious attack but both dogs would come out grinning and then go for it again.

Josie, Rover and R2 protected the park from joggers on the bike path, Ryder tagged along at the back of pack (its a good thing he wears a blue jacket or he would blend into the surroundings.)

The afternoon group hit the park with a big bang.  As it always seems they do.  Another big group: Pina, Gabby, Cheetos, Frank, Nina, Olive, Sam, Shea, Sidney and Everest (he got a second walk because he is trying to lose some weight.)

Pina and Gabby were back from visiting relatives in the country for three weeks and it hardly seemed like they were gone - they were right back into greeting and insisting on being petted by all.  Cheetos is into this as well but is a little more subtle and hangs way back from the pack, looks pathetic and then waits for someone to "rescue" him.

This seemed to be a gramma day because in the afternoon we ran in Kensi and her gramma and walked with them.  It is always nice to have someone to talk to.

All the dogs liked rubbing themselves in the crunchy snow and one extra special boy enjoyed rubbing is body in a fresh messy poop.  He will remain nameless.  He was also the most friendly and playful dog but people did not want him to play with their dogs once they took a good hard look at him.  GROSS!!
