Today was an absolutely wonderful. The weather was unbelievably warm and the dogs were so good I could have weeped with joy. They all played well together, no one whined about where he/she was sitting, any squabbles they had they managed to settle themselves in very short order.
The morning group consisted of Copper, Nina, Frank, Everest, Marty, Riley, Shea, Whistler and Ziggy. There wasn't as many people and dogs at the park as there has been since Christmas break started so we were able to play ball. It was great to see them playing even though Whistler and Ziggy kept trying to steal the ball even though they would not run to get it. Shea, Everest and Riley were the most interested. Riley has to be commended for his awesome behaviour today. He was so happy, playful and obedient. Go Riley!!
The afternoon group was good too. Cheetos, Frank (lucky boy with two walks today), Owen, Rover, Sam, Taylor, Wilbur, Bella and Casey all behaved in a very respectful manner. Rover, Bella and Wilbur chased a few bike riders who dared to come down the bike trail. The dogs can't get at them and they run forever so it works well to wear them out. Cheetos was most disgusted that we chose to walk in the centre of the field. (It is less icy there but unfortunately there is more poop.) Casey wasn't too happy about it either but she is tougher than our prince. Bella and Wilbur were play fighting and I actually think that Wilbur was confusing Bella with his strength and fiestiness. Frank was very tired after two walks and passed out on the floor of the truck and I did not see or hear him until I got him home. Taylor was tired too and fell asleep on Cheetos. Cheetos was not impressed.
Here's hoping that tomorrow is just as pleasant.
